House of Mercy was founded with a simple yet profound goal: to provide a safe, welcoming space for individuals facing addiction, mental health challenges, and emotional struggles. At the heart of our center is the belief that healing is possible, and with the right support, anyone can overcome their struggles and build a path toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
The center offers a variety of services, including Mental Health Treatment, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapy, Loss and Grief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Drug Testing Therapy, and Rehabilitation Referral Treatment. We are committed to supporting individuals in their journey to recovery and growth, providing compassionate, professional care every step of the way.
Our approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to creating an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. We believe that recovery begins with the first step, and we are here to help you take that step toward healing.
Peter Githinji Njogu, the founder of House of Mercy, has lived through the very struggles that our center seeks to address. His personal battle with alcoholism, drug addiction, sex addiction, and deep depression led them down a difficult path, but it was also the catalyst for their healing journey and eventual mission to help others.
For many years, Peter used substances to mask the emotional pain and depression that consumed him. After relocating from Canada to Kenya, Peter found himself really facing an emotional downpour of pain and suffering that led to even more alcohol abuse. It was then that Peter made the life-changing decision to seek help. It was during this time that Peter entered a rehabilitation center, where they learned the tools and gained the strength to overcome addiction and address the mental health challenges that had been hidden for so long.
After recovery, Peter attended Sapta College in Nairobi, where he trained to become a counselor with the determination to help others suffering from the same battle. This education empowered him to pursue their passion of helping others who are struggling with the same issues that once consumed their life.
Now, as the founder of House of Mercy, Peter is dedicated to providing the support, understanding, and guidance that they once needed. His personal experience with addiction and recovery allows them to connect with clients in a meaningful and empathetic way, offering a sense of hope and inspiration to those who are beginning their own healing journeys.
Peter invites you to reach out, knowing that you don’t have to face your struggles alone. At House of Mercy, we are here to walk with you every step of the way toward recovery.
